Light the Way collaborated with The DAISY Foundation to develop their International Advocate Program. Through this, we underwrite DAISY awards in countries around the world that without our support would not have the funding to honor their exceptional nurses.

Light the Way provides support to NLN through funding for scholarships and multi-year participation on and support for their Advisory Council.

Light the Way partnered with UNMU to open a nurse training center within the union’s headquarters. LTW furnished the center with the computers needed for Ugandan nurses to access the best online nurse training programs available through providers such as HealthStream and AACN. All equipment and training courses are underwritten by LTW funding.

The role of the Filipino nurse in U.S. healthcare is long-historied and of great importance. Today, the majority of nurses that Health Carousel helps immigrate to the USA hail from the Philippines. LTW donates to national and chapter events at which PNAA members find the support they need as a healthcare community and the training to become the best healthcare providers.

The PNA is of paramount importance to building unity and training for Filipino nurses wherever they practice around the world. LTW provides monetary and training support that supports events and training to their members within the Philippines and abroad.

BELA, an Ethispehere community, is committed to advancing business integrity. Our support of BELA helps build a business community within healthcare and across a wide range of industries that shares and supports business best practices and expertise. BELA is comprised of senior legal, ethics, and compliance leaders from 60+ industries in more than 390+ companies worldwide.

As nurses migrate around the world they and their families are especially vulnerable to trafficking abuse as they may be unfamiliar with the culture, customs, and ethical business practices in the countries they immigrate to. Our membership with Slave-Free Alliance supports their mission to build a global community that embraces ethical practices free from modern human rights abuses.

Through the DAISY International Advocate Program, we sponsor DAISY Awards for nursing school students and faculty members who attend this university in Cameroon. Meaningful recognition awards motivate nurses to persist in the profession, which is critically important in Cameroon, which ranks in the lowest twenty nations of the world in nurses per thousand population by WHO statistics.

Founded in 1922, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, today known as Sigma, works to develop nurse leaders anywhere to improve healthcare everywhere.
